WorldTrips' Atlas Journey Explore plan targets backpackers venturing to less-developed regions where evacuation costs spike fast. The base plan covers adventure sports, and optional riders extend protection to specific activities you know you'll pursue. The $1M evacuation limit addresses the reality that flying someone out of the Andes or a remote island for emergency surgery costs tens of thousands of dollars.

This works well for backpackers mixing general travel with planned adventure sports in destinations with limited medical infrastructure. If you're doing low-risk urban backpacking in developed countries, the adventure-focused positioning might mean you're paying for features you don't need.
