Battleface

Battleface's pitch is flexibility: rather than a set tiered plan, you build a policy from separate components, so a backpacker doing ordinary trekking pays for less than a freelance journalist heading somewhere genuinely dangerous. Medical coverage is primary, and the underwriting explicitly doesn't treat remote or unstable regions as an automatic exclusion the way many standard travel medical plans do, provided the destination isn't under a specific sanctions restriction.

Pre-existing conditions follow a standard exclusion, and adventure activities need to be added as a specific benefit rather than assumed covered under the base plan. Evacuation and security assistance are available as add-on components too, which overlaps somewhat with dedicated evacuation memberships but comes bundled into a single travel insurance purchase instead of a separate annual membership. It suits backpackers heading off well-trodden routes, and travelers whose itinerary includes a country most insurers would rather not touch.
