GeoBlue Navigator

Tap a star to rate

Navigator is the plan GeoBlue markets directly to university study abroad offices and program providers, built to satisfy the insurance requirements many schools set for a semester or year-long program overseas. Coverage runs on the same Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Core network as GeoBlue's other plans, so direct billing at network hospitals works the same way, a genuine advantage over a plan with a thinner international provider list.

Because it's typically sold or arranged through a school or program administrator rather than purchased directly online the way Voyager is, a student's first step should be checking whether their study abroad office already has a group Navigator plan set up, sometimes bundled into program fees. Pre-existing conditions follow GeoBlue's standard exclusion, and evacuation and repatriation are included as core benefits. It suits students, faculty, and program staff on an institutionally organized trip more than an independent traveler booking on their own.
