Insured Nomads

Tap a star to rate

Insured Nomads runs two separate product lines rather than one blended plan: a travel medical option for shorter or intermittent trips, and an individual health insurance option built for someone treating a country, or a rotation of countries, as their actual base. Both include 24/7 telemedicine, which matters for a nomad without an established local doctor and no interest in an urgent care waiting room in a language they don't speak.

Coverage is secondary on the travel medical plans and primary on the longer health insurance option, a distinction worth confirming at signup since it affects how a claim gets processed if you're still carrying any other insurance. Pre-existing conditions follow standard exclusions on the travel plans and are handled case by case on the health insurance side. The company also sells group plans to remote-first employers, which is a decent signal it's built infrastructure beyond a single consumer product, useful context when judging how established the underwriting side actually is.
